~Really Big Tree: Guar Plans (Day)~

When you step through the portal, you find yourself on some wide, flat plains. Looking out, you can see grass and flowers stretching for several miles before they suddenly stop, turning into a grey, barren landscape. As you turn you notice giant brown walls on either side of you. When you finish turning around, you realize they're roots as you find a tree larger than anything you'd ever imagined. Its trunk is at least as large as the Vitcorp building, perhaps a bit wider, and the branches and leaves seem to spread out for miles - right to the edges of the grassy plains.
A cavernous opening in the side of the tree seems to be inviting you in.
Fox and Katie come in right behind you. They both stop and gasp loudly. "Whoa...!"

Right before using his Soul Key to transform, Dewey takes out his phone and snaps a few pictures of this place. If they can't find enough information about it on their own he could always show this to Somnis.

"Which one?" Fox asks.
"Obviously Wind," Katie says. "Look how high it goes."
You glance back when you hear a loud buzzing noise just in time to see a large drone taking off. Katie is operating the controls, while Fox is staring at some kind of small screen and making a sketch on graph paper. They seem to be mapping out the network of roots around the tree.
"Wonder what this place is called," Katie says. "Maybe we should name it?"
"How about the Windy Tree?" Fox suggests.

"My theory was the Plant Guardian, but this being the home of the Wind Guardian is certainly feasible too. That being said if it is that makes things far more dangerous. Either Mercia has already slain the Guardian, or worse yet we've just walked into a portal leading to the territory of a Guardian allied to Mercia."
Dewey looks at the drone, a suspicious glance completely obscured by his glasses within his altered form.
"Where did you get this drone? It's quite impressive."

"Lisa helped us make it," Katie says.
"And she helped us fix it after that mean giant snake lady smashed it," Fox adds.

"I see. Anyways, good idea to make a map."
While they continue mapping out the roots, Dewey keeps an eye out to make sure no monsters sneak up on the group.

Dewey decides to stay as a lookout. It takes the other two a lot longer to do the map than expected. Turns out this place is way more than the size of a city block...
While they work, you notice a flock of small birds assembling in the branches far above. Then you realize how far away they really are. And big. And kinda angry-looking...

"It looks like we've attracted the local wildlife."

"Oh, my God..." Katie whispers.
"They're so..." Fox says.
"Cute!"
"Creepy!"
"We'll probably have fight them off if we're going any further in," Fox says.
"I don't like hurting cute animals..." Katie admits. "But it does mean we get more information about this place... Hm. Maybe we should just leave for the night."

"Awwww," Fox and Katie whine in unison. "Fine..."
The three of you make your way back to the portal and return to your own world. As soon as you step through, Fox and Katie turn to you.
"So... what now?" Fox asks.
"I wanna explore that place more!" Katie says. "Can we do it later? Pleeeeaaaaaase?"

Dewey turns to Katie, a look of faint confusion on his face.

"Well, yeah. For tonight," Katie says. "But I still wanna explore it more later. Once we have some more people and it's safer."
"Yeah, more people," Fox says. "But who? And when?"

Dewey thinks for a moment.
"Somnis is probably the safest person to bring, she's one of the last people I'd suspect of working for Mercia. Tai seems fairly trustworthy as well. Besides the two of them... any of the Guardians, perhaps? We shouldn't bring too many people along, it might be wise to only take one or two more in addition to the three of us. In any case it's late, we should probably all see about getting to bed and figure out the when later."

"Aunt Somnis helped us before..." Fox says.
Katie nods. "She tried to save us from the snakes and ended up turning into a statue, too."
Fox frowns. "That wasn't fun. At all."
"Tai seems... fine? Maybe a little scary," Katie says. "I don't wanna think we can't trust any of our friends."
You head home for the day.
