"What? But we came to check on Fionn! And to tell him stuff that's happened," Natsumi says.
"Well, we're here to do the same thing, mostly?" Freya says.
"Yeah, but... You shouldn't just go into the Otherworld without telling people!" Natsumi fusses. "It's dangerous."
Freya folds her arms and leans back. "Uh-huh. I mean, you're not wrong. But who did you tell, Li'l Bunbun?"
Natsumi stops. "I, um... Sorry. Wait, but you said some monsters got out? We need to go see if something's wrong with Fionn! Come on!"
Natsumi heads out through the door, and you all follow after her. A wooden path as wide as a highway wraps around in either direction, forming a ring around the outside of the tree. Dozens of branches below you covered in leaves larger than yourselves obscure the ground below, while more above you leave the walkway in constant gloom.
Natsumi continues around the side, working her way towards the other side of the tree. Even at a jog, it takes some time to even get partway there. As you make your way around, you spot what looks like a giant mosquito lodged onto the side of the tree, a long snout jabbed into its side. The area around the needle looks faded and discolored, like it's turning grey.

"Um... I'm guessing that's not Fionn," Nora says. "More likely what's weakening him enough to allow monsters to roam free, yes? Do we... kill it?"

"Oh... Nononononono... This happened in that other place... All the colors went away, because of these things called "Leeches", they almost wandered out in our world to start taking the colors there...
Is that Mosquito also a Leech? Because if so, we need to unleash our most powerful powers at it! They're really resistant."

Nora, Floyd, Leia
Natsumi flaps in a panic. "No, it's not Fionn, he-"
"Um, so it's one of those... va... vag... vag- things they talked about?" Freya says. "Yeah, I think D- uh, the hood guy said something about there being other forms, right?"
"It's not just sucking the color, it's draining the aether!" Natsumi says. "Yeah, that's really bad...! We need to stop it!"
"F-fight, here!? N-no, it's... OK, I got this!" Freya yells.
Floyd's phone buzzes with a message. He takes a look and sees it's from Mareena. "It's fine, I've got her."
Freya summons her soccerball, winds back, and kicks it at the mosquito. It bounces off the creature's shell with a dull thud, rebounding hard. "Wha- mmph!" It slams into Freya's face and she goes stumbling back.
The mosquito rips its proboscis out of the trunk and lets out a loud BUZZ. The force of the shockwave sends everyone sliding back a few inches. Unfortunately, Freya doesn't have many inches left to slide and goes tumbling over the edge.
Natsumi sprints over, desperately grabbing at her hand as she disappears. "FREYA!"
For a few seconds, Natsumi stands on the edge of the platform, stunned, hands over her mouth. And then you hear Freya yelling from below. "FUCK! OW!"
Meanwhile, the mosquito lands on the platform, readying its sucker like a spear and aiming it at you.

Enemy Scroll: Leia puts a scroll on an enemy. An afterimage of that enemy will join the party for the rest of the battle or until it is defeated. In the case of bosses, the afterimage is significantly weaker. The afterimages are not player-controlled. Only one Enemy Scroll per battle. [Natsumi 4]
Leia will run out of the way after activating the scroll.

Nora scowls as she flies into the air. "I never did like bugs. But I have no problems squashing them."
Nora will summon a Krakken on the ground in front of the mosquito, aiming to draw its attention. "I'll blast it out of the sky."

Leia looks to Nora, concerned.
"Ju... Just be careful if you use a powerful attack. We... We just saw the last attack ricochet, so bebebebe ready to dodge your ow... own attack... Just in case!"

"Well, if it can deflect what I'm about to blast it with, at least we know to run away, yes? Oh, that reminds me, you all should stand back, as well. I'm not about to hit it with a soccer ball- I'm going to blast it with something akin to an orbital bombardment."

Floyd joins Natsumi at the edge 'Thanks that's a big help if you could pull a knight out of your hat you'd really capture my heart' He texts Marrena back quickly before addressing the others "Ummm Malatyne I really don't think that's a good idea remember the meeting these things live on aether we need something else to kill it you're just going to blast holes into this place like that Person Asmodeous said the Robo-Squad's weapons worked right and they gave you guys who were there ones right did you bring those?" Floyd asks keeping an eye on the Mosquito

Floyd, Leia, Nora
Nora proceeds to call out a twisted squid-beast that wraps a tentacle around the bottom of the platform to hold itself in place.
"Freya... She's OK..." Natsumi whispers. A seal appears over her hand as she turns to face the mosquito, an ethereal cat springing out to join the squid.
Leia slaps a scroll on the mosquito's side, and a shadowy fake of the creature appears beside it. It shimmers and shakes, flashing between green and the black of the creature's carapace as if it's not entirely stable.
Natsumi glances at Floyd. "Robo...squad? Weapon?" Natsumi's phone buzzes, then Leia's right after.
The mosquito looks around at the three summoned creatures and chirps. It begins buzzing louder, forcefully pulling at the air with its snout. The cat, squid, and fake mosquito all begin to fade, falling apart as they're sucked up.
"Hey, that's... cheating!" Natsumi yells.

"I can find out a weakness of it, but it'll need to attack someone with a UFO on them... I'll start with me I guess..."
Alien Abduction: A UFO comes from the sky and abducts an ally. It transforms that ally's attack into an AOE on the next turn and the UFO will take the damage for the ally until it's destroyed. Leia can use it on herself. When an enemy attacks the UFO, it reveals a weakness and a resistance. [Base]
Alien Scan: Using Alien Abduction reveals a resistance and a weakness of any enemy that attacks the UFO. [Jimmy 4]

"Well that sounds like attack to me!"
Nora will fly higher into the air and sacrifice her squid before it's fully destroyed, unleashing a full power Eldritch Cannon at the mosquito from above.

Floyd gestures his arms "You know the an- Mercia's people with the armor" He looks up panickily at Leia and Nora "OK OK OK You take care of this and I'll take care of Freya trust me we'll be fine OK good luck" With that Floyd jumps down using Polymorph as he does to sprout wings and flutter the rest of the way

Leia disappears into a flying saucer while Nora spreads her wings, both floating up into the air. Nora siphons what aether still remains in her dissolving squid, firing a heavy stream of water at the mosquito. The water seems to bounce off as it slides back a bit. The mosquito shakes itself off. Natsumi fires a pulse of dark purple energy from her palm, which doesn't seem to bother the creature much as it starts to charge at her. It slashes her with one of its forearms, which seem to cut right through her armor.
"Ugh, its shell is SO HARD!" Natsumi yells.
Meanwhile, Floyd tries to copy Nora and Leia and fly.
Floyd
You drop down and start to glide downwards. It doesn't take long to spot where Freya ended up. What you guess is about two floors down, Mareena is hanging from a vine reaching out of the window, holding onto Freya with her other arm. "Hi, Floyd," she says. She takes a deep breath, then yells.
Leia, Nora
You hear Mareena yelling from below. "IOTA GAVE YOU HER KNIVES FOR A REASON, YOU DOOFUSES!"
Floyd
Freya winces, latching hard onto Mareena. Mareena smiles and pats her on the head, using her now-free hand to start lowering herself from the vine towards a large branch.
