"Oh, please." Erin rolls her eyes. "A straight competition? The only thing straight about you is that cute-" She stops, clapping a hand over her mouth.
"Sounds like Erin needed some more time in the lake," Balthazar says. He goes back to his letters, a bit more nonchalantly this time. "Maybe I'll visit the lake next time. Though I prefer distance running to racing."
Erin, facing away, shrugs. "Anyway, yeah, you'd probably win in a footrace. At least for now. I'm used to running on sand instead of this dirt, and in sandals or barefoot, not stuck in these big, clomping furry... things. So maybe next time we try somewhere more evenly matched."
Selfless, Rachael
Gwen growls. "Hunting is not for sport, it is for food."
Indy, Rishan
Colette glances at Indy, and spits out something in a muttered, flustered, rushed tone that no one seems to understand. She starts walking uncomfortably fast, clearly breaking away from the group.
Darius frowns as she gets further away. "She's... awful shy. Anyway, we had a lotta fun. Got to know the local culture a bit better. Found some good places to have some fun and socialize. And a decent tavern."

Rachael
You're dragged off to lessons alongside Alice again. Phoebe puts you in some light armor and spends most of the day shooting rocks at you while you cast spells to make you get used to staying calm and reacting under pressure.
Everyone Else
It's a free day to do what you want. Unlike last week, most people seem content to take their time, eat breakfast, and spend some time hanging out before running out to do anything.

Ray will go to the library to look at maps and see if there's a beach-like locale accessible by foot in a day.

After breakfast, Misha heads to the library. She goes to look for the historical section, for records on the Alchemist Rebellion. She is off in her own world, entirely focused on her task, and doesn't seem to even notice Ray as she moves past him.

Cantrelle wakes up bright and early, changing into an outfit that surprisingly isn’t her usual one but instead a much more plain knee-length dress. Were it not for the bright blue hair and the fact that she still grabs her violin, at a passing glance she would be borderline unrecognizable.
“Morning, everyone! So, aside from Alice - hell of a tough break by the way, on the bright side it’s only for the weekend - anybody have any plans for today?”

Selfless, having quietly finished breakfast, abruptly rises to a stand.
"Insects. It can be presumed...?" The mysterious figure seems to turn to glance at the kitchen staff as if to confirm.

Fenian looks up from his breakfast salad and glances over. "Hero... He is fine. I do not think he could be cool with all that fur, even here in the cold mountains."
Ray
You get ready and head down to the town, looking for a library. You eventually find a book shop where you spot a few people reading - Collette for one, and eventually Misha joins as well. You start looking for maps of the nearby area. There's a beach not terribly far, but it would require going through some forests or mountains. Definitely not a one-day trip without some kind of magical speed-up.
Misha
You somehow manage to not notice Ray OR Collette as you browse for books about the alchemist rebellion. You find a few that mention it, but few that really focus on it. Discussions of how the old alchemist guilds fell, how the new mage colleges were founded...
Cantrelle
Alice pauses getting dressed to glare at you for a moment, then goes back to muttering to herself. "Stupid Rachael. Dunno why I have to have supplementary lessons, I was doing fine. I'm not the one who stood there doing nothing... The only way I screwed up was picking the wrong partner..." She seems more than a bit venemous.
Iora yawns and stretches. "Gonna na-a-a-a-ap," she says. "Maybe here. Maybe in the lake or the fo-o-o-o-ountain."
Fenian shrugs. "No. My plans end at breakfast."
Selfless, Rishan
The kitchen staff seem to have absolutely no idea Selfless was phrasing that as a question to them, and definitely don't know they've awakened something within him.
