You look down. "...Fine. I'll take the stupid cloak."
"I hope you don't seriously think I'm falling for this 'defeated' act," the inquisitor says. She takes a step forward, sheathing her sword. She takes another step, holding her cape in one hand and pulling out a set of manacles in the other. She takes another step. "I'm warning you, just put your arms behind your back and don't do anything stupid."
The elf crouches down, rat-snout twitching. The one of the roof shifts subtly, more carefully lining up the shot at the inquisitor. He looks at you for instruction.
(A) Don't do anything stupid. (B) Fuck it, Inflict Wounds. (C) Ice Slick! Kick her towards the slide-proof elf! (D) Air Geyser! Knock her into the air where she'll be an easy target for a crossbow! (E) "Take the shot!" (F) "Rat Attack, go!" (G) Let's make another mud puddle, she'll never see it coming. (H) Y'know what she'd really never see coming? Take out your sword and smack her. (I) Y'know what she'd really never see coming? Grab her. Wrap her up in the silk ribbon. Maybe even try to wrestle those manacles onto her instead. (J) Y'know what she'd really, really never see coming? Go for a kiss.

Realistically E and F kind of as well I mean if she stops us she'll have less room to stop a projectile or say a charging stag or something that could carry us into the water transform again and we can all GTFO

If the sniper is aiming for the inquisitor and waiting for a signal. What's the best way to signal the sniper before she can catch on?

You wait until she gets closer, then swing your arms and unleash an Air Geyser beneath her feet.
She darts to the side faster than you thought she could, getting scalded by the blast. But she moved fast enough to avoid getting launched into the air. You did, however, launch her cloak and hat into the air.
The man on the roof fires at her, and she twists to catch the bolt in her shoulder. She grunts with pain, turning to glare at you. Her eye glows bright red again as she looms over you. She snarls. "Mistake."
She presses a hand to your shoulder. You feel the compulsion to stay in place fade, but a pair of fetters materialize around your ankles and snap shut in its place. You can move, at least, but you already learned how hard it is to walk in these stupid things before.
As she pulls out her sword and shield, she suddenly goes flying 10ft. The druid, turned into a large goat, bahs at you. She jams her head into your gut and flicks you, pushing you onto her back. You grab on as best you can as she leaps forward and starts to retreat. You glance up to the roof to see the man quickly reload and fire off another shot as the inquisitor picks herself up. She manages to throw her shield up and deflect the bolt as she stands.
When you look back again, the man is already gone, disappeared into the shadows. That... disappearing part seems familiar... You probably knew him before the memory loss thing. Probably.
You can barely hear anything above the sound of hooves clacking against the road as you adjust your grip on the goat. And then the river comes into view, and you can hear the sounds of the docks late at night.
And then you hear the goat-druid let out a panicked bleat. She stops suddenly, and you're catapulted off her back, rolling towards the river. You stop short, just a few steps from the dock, and look back. The goat is curled up, struggling with something. To the naked eye, she looks fine. But your ability to use and detect magic lets you see it: faintly shimmering cords wrapped around the goat's legs, made of pure force magic. The bonds reach up into the sky, the other ends wrapping around a wooden cargo crane probably used for unloading the ships.
You pull out your sword and slash one of the chains. You know it's pointless, really, but you can't stop yourself from trying. As expected, your sword bounces harmlessly off the invisible force. The soft sound of approaching steps... You don't even have to look to know it's the inquisitor again. The hat and cloak are back, while the mask of civility is gone. She approaches calmly, sword and shield in hand, but a furious snarl on her face.
The druid changes back, trying to slip out of the restraints, but the chains chains cling to her wrists and ankles instead, giving her little slack from the hanging crane. Barely standing on her toes, she struggles to gain any traction and pull against them. The fetters on your ankles aren't making this any easier... It seems they aren't some magically maintained effect, she just summoned a set on you. Annoying!
If you want to escape into the water, now's the time to run. The inquisitor's probably having to maintain these force restraints, at least... which means she can't exactly use anything to restrain you so long as she's holding your friend. Or, if you can force her to use magic against you or otherwise break her concentration, you should be able to free your elf. The less good part is that until you pull that off - if you can pull that off - she can barely stand, much less fight. And who knows what other spells this inquisitor knows. She doesn't even seem the least bit tired.
You're starting to understand why witches and inquisitors hate each other so much.
(A) Eh, ditch the elf and dive in the water. She doesn't seem like the type to do anything cruel to a prisoner. You can free her later. (B) OK, fighting then. Hit her with a spell as hard as possible. A gust of wind might make her do something other than walk forward slowly. (C) Try slowing her down with a mud puddle. (D) Draw your sword and attack. (E) Y'know what's not great for concentration? Swarms of BEES. (F) See what the elf wants you to do. (G) Jump into the water and pretend to run while you hang back to watch. (H) TACKLE ATTACK, GO. (I) Try pulling the elf. Hard.

good news: we kinda of escaped. bad news: The inquisitor is pissed off royalty. if she gets a hold of us we are screwed. Plus we probably ruined whatever chance we had of subducing her too and adding her to our harem. Umm can't leave our Druid Waifu behind. But we can't engage the Inquisitor
