Amphi is walking in Rogueport, in the central area, minding his own business.
Suddenly, a Shy Guy in a medi car bumps into him.
Gugu: "..."
The Shy Guy continues on his way, passing by Amphi. It seems he's going towards crime street.
Amphi could follow him, or he could talk to the lot of people there is.
Goombas, Koopas, Piantas, Boos, there's pretty much everything in the central plaza!
It seems there's some commotion at the docks area though.

Goombas, Koopas, Piantas, Boos, there's pretty much everything in the central plaza! It seems there's some commotion at the docks area though. Amphi stammers an apology to the Shy Guy speeding away and walks briskly in the opposite direction, clutching a stack of books to his chest as he mutters and stumbles his way down the stone-paved street. Before long he's distracted again, letting his legs go on autopilot as he stares blankly up at the sky. Suddenly, he realizes his surroundings have become quite a bit noisier. He looks down from the clouds- "the docks?!" |

There's a lot of people at the docks... It's surprising that Amphi didn't bump into anyone.
Everyone is looking towards the sea. A giant lady, similar to Merlon is fighting a Giant Blooper in the distance.
They are still too close for comfort.
The lady is probably fighting to save Rogueport right now.
Crowd: "YES! RIGHT IN THE FACE! WAY TO GO!!!"

RIGHT IN THE FACE! WAY TO GO!!!" Amphi's eyes widen. He quickly drops to his knees and reaches into the pages of a green-yellow book, retrieving a ratty pen and a scrap of note paper. After a few moments of intense sketching, he pauses. A crude scribble with wiry tentacles grapples with a crude scribble wearing a cloak. Hmm. Close enough. He scrawls a few notes beneath the drawing as he watches the tidal waves created by the battle crash against the shore. This is going to be interesting. |

---Amphi--- Dark clouds appears in the distance as lightning blots shock some tentacles... Wait... Something is going on the docks... People are still screaming, but now it's a panic. Crowd: "WHERE DID THAT COME FROM? IT JUST APPEARED IN FRONT OF ME!" As the crowd runs, Amphi can see the creature attacking a group of young goombas. Goomba: "I can't run fast enough!" The creature is some kind of orange dino-like humanoid with giant hands. Amphi has never seen such a creature.  |

(Darn it Malefio, making me want to play Wario World again XD) Amphi's first impulse is to run away as fast as possible. His second impulse is to draw the orange, strangely proportioned creature. Amphi gulps. "H-hey!" He weakly tosses one of his books at the creature to get its attention. Amphi blurts out the first thing that comes to mind- the most cliche phrase possible in this situation. "P-pick on someone your own size!" |

Amphi sidesteps, avoiding the attack, then jumps on the Magon again. A pink Goomba then jumps down from the stairs and on the Magon to finish him.
Goombella: "I was waiting for my chance! Good job weakening that guy!"
(PS: You got a free level-up. Details coming in another post)
Goombella: "Oh look! The Pirate Ship is coming this way!"
Mystic, Kameron, Bill, Bruno, Toadson, Torm, Glomglom and E. Gadd all comes down from the ship. They saw Amphi and Goombella defeat a weird orange dino guy. Things keep getting weirder...
