Above the clouds, a large plateau sits. Multiple humans carrying weapons seem to be there. From below the clouds, a figure clad in armor flies up. His feathered wings, one white and one dark carry him above them. "You face the judgement of the skies! Humans! You know not what forces you make enemies of! The blood of a thousand wyverns is on your hands. Now is the time for you to pay for what you have done! As the Wind Guardian, I, Chaos, shall strike you down! Judgement Cannon!" His right arm changes into what looks like a large cannon and a powerful ray of light is launched from it, engulfing the entire plateau. Somnis can hear the humans that were there shouting before it's suddenly silent.
She's now standing in the clouds. It seems the large plateau is gone. The knight from before flies over the destruction caused by his attack, looking down at it. "Humans are the reason this world has come to this. Hunting innocent wyverns for their scales...what terrible creatures. I will never forgive them for this..."
Somnis notices he continues to speak, but she can't hear him. She begins to slip away, back into the real world...

October 9th, Sunday, Sunny
Morning
Somnis wakes up in the morning with Dogachu happily hopping up on her bed and wagging his tail. She pats him on the head and checks her phone for any new messages. She got one from Tab it looks like. Morgan wants to meet her by the river today. She said she can bring anyone she wants with her, but she wants to apologize to Somnis...
Bring anyone I want? It's strange she'd ask Tab to text me instead of doing it herself...
Somnis hops out of bed and gets dressed, heading downstairs. "Alright, it's another day! What should we do, Dogachu?"

Morgan takes in a couple of deep breaths, trying to focus. "Oh ummm I never realized I ummm errr had your umm errr Cell phone number. Ha ha sorry bout that and ummm well I figuired you would ummm err. I figured you never want to see me after what happened. Umm err this is umm err kinda of sorta of hard. Umm I am really not good at these type of things." Morgan bows to Somnis. "Somnis senpi I know just saying sorry wouldn't forgive my behavior from that day. I can apologize a thousand times and that may not be enough. So Somnis please...................."
She pauses for a moment. "Somnis senpi please hit me. I want us to be even and I know just apologizing isn't enough. I was out of line with my behavior and I should have just invited you to meet Solera instead of punching you. So Somnis senpi in order for us to be even I want you to punch me as hard as you can or do whatever you have to do to forgive me."

Somnis slowly walks up to Morgan. "Morgan..." She stares at her for a moment before leaping toward her. Somnis grabs Morgan in a big full tackle hug, knocking the both of them to the ground. "...I don't want to hurt you." Somnis rolls off of Morgan and lays next to her. "I was never mad at you. Actually, I want to be friends. I was sad that you hit me, but I didn't want to hold it against you. We aren't supposed to be enemies. I can tell, we're meant to be friends."
"Somnis........." Morgan begins to tear up. "Oh Somnis.......I am sooooo sorry" Morgan begins weeping uncontrollably. "You see the investigation team is more then just my friends they are really the only family I have. I wanna protect them no matter what. Somnis I am glad you still wanna be my friend and and and and," She pauses and wipes her tears, "...... Somnis I wanna be your friend to and and and and..." She's still chocking on her words. "I wanna be your friend too. Before all that happened you seem like a really cool person and I am just so glad Senpai you wanna be my friend with me." Morgan starts to calm down a bit.
"Somnis umm are you busy tonight do you wanna come with me and meet Solera tonight? Shes actually really cool and maybe she can give us some info. Umm and well she is umm kinda of cute too." Morgan is blushing.
A. "Sure, let's go!"
B. "Actually, I'm busy tonight."
C. "Can we do something else?"
D. "Maybe we should go save Zack instead..."
E. "Maybe we should have a meeting with the others."
F. "But I need to increase my social links more..."

"Sure, let's g-" Morgan's phone rings and she quickly checks it. It seems that there's going to be a meeting with the investigation team tonight, actually. Morgan invites Somnis to head there with her instead and Somnis accepts. Morgan then mentions that Tab wanted to see her this afternoon and tells her where to go find him.
"Alright, thanks for everything, Morgan!" Somnis waves as she leaves.
Somnis and Morgan have reached relationship rank 2!
Somnis heads off to find Tab in the park.
Afternoon
She finds him sitting on a bench nearby with his scooter. Somnis sits next to him and smiles. "Hi! Morgan said you wanted to see me. So here I am." Dogachu hops up and sits in Somnis' lap.

Tab looks at Somnis and Dogachu with an almost empty look, then sighs and stares ahead. "...Friday night. The mall. Tell me everything you know about what happened at the mall. And why it happened. I need to know. What in the world happened there...?"
A. "I don't know..."
B. "I think Dogachu knows something."
C. "We fought Lisa."
D. "Lisa was really stressed out..."
E. "The man in my dreams knows something."
F. "I think we were in the other world."

"Lisa was really stressed out...we fought Lisa. I think we were in the other world. I don't know...I think Dogachu knows something." Dogachu wags his tail and looks at Tab.
Tab looks at Somnis, then Dogachu questioningly. "Your... dog...? I'm not about to start talking to your dog for answers, Somnis..." Tab buries his head in his hands. "...Lisa was... stressed, you say. Somnis, do you... love Lisa? Truly?"
A. "Of course I do! Don't be ridiculous!"
B. "Yeah, I wouldn't have been able to save her otherwise."
C. "Hmm...I don't know."
D. "Maybe not..."
E. "Why are you asking? Hoping I'll go out with you instead, hotshot?" *wink*
F. "Just listen to what I have to say. My dog isn't normal."
G. "Just listen to what I have to say. There's this man in my dreams..."

"Why are you asking? Of course I do!" Somnis pouts a bit, her feelings hurt by Tab questioning the validity of her relationship.
Tab nods, listening quietly to Somnis's answer. "...As I thought. I apologize, Somnis. I didn't mean it that way. Me and Mattea noticed it ourselves on Friday. All those memories you shared with Lisa. It's just...
...It seems that if, with all the unknowns behind this other world, one of us were to... well... love... someone... it'd..." Tab seems to struggle getting the words out.
"...I just don't want to have to do something like that again. We may not escape with our lives next time. And I'm not sure if... loving someone is the right thing to do right now. Ah, I've already said too much..." Tab looks at his feet dejectedly.
A. "Is something wrong?"
B. "Oh, you like someone?"
C. "Stop being so whiney..."
D. "Are you hiding something?"
E. "...Poke."
F. "Dogachu...do something." (Expression)

"Stop sitting around a moping about it." Somnis stands and looks at Tab. She seems determined. "There's no time to be worried about what if this or that. You need to stand up for yourself. You can't let fear of that stuff control you. If there's someone you love, you have to be honest about that stuff. Some things are worth standing and fighting for. Love is one of them. I know from personal experience. And if you don't act on those feelings, it might be too late one day. You may never get the chance to tell someone you love them. So don't wait around. You have to go for it and be brave."
Tab angrily glares at Somnis after her first remark. Then, as Somnis goes on, Tab starts to feel the weight of Somnis's words, looking away.
"......I understand. I... need to take the risk, then. For... myself. No more fear.
...Thanks, Somnis." Tab gets up and readjusts his hat. "Well then, it's about time for me to start heading off. I suppose Morgan already told you about our team's meeting tonight. You're free to show up. But I won't forget what you told me. If you're ever in another sticky situation... or if your dog does turn out to know something... let me know."
Tab starts up the scooter and heads off to the meeting.
Somnis and Tab have reached relationship rank 2!
Somnis watches for a while before Dogachu pokes her and reminds her she should also be going to that meeting. "Oh, you're right!" Somnis follows after Tab, on her way to that meeting.

The investigation team all get a together at Julia's house, gathering around in the main room. It looks like Somnis and her friends are here as well, although Lisa is glaring at Morgan and watching over Somnis carefully. The two of them are a bit distanced from the group. Although Somnis waves at Morgan and smiles. Buttons stands next to them, acting like he's not paying attention. Dogachu sits in Somnis' lap with his tail wagging.
The others mostly gather around in a main group together. Fox stands, leaning on the table and supporting his head with both hands and Raine sits quietly next to him. Lance sits at the head of the table with his hands folded together in thought with Avel on one side of him, quietly watching everything and Mattea on the other side, leaning over the table and resting her head on one hand. Tom leans against a wall, watching over everyone and Laura stands behind Raine.
Tom is the first to speak. "Alright, everyone. There's something you should probably know. Karl was caught by the police yesterday and questioned. They're suspecting that he's involved with Zack's disappearance. This is bad to say the least. We need to be careful from now on about being spotted going to and leaving the other world. We especially need to be careful with the cops. Of course, telling them about the other world would make us look crazy, but they'd probably think we were hiding something about the murders. So if they ask you any questions, try to keep your answers vague. They'll probably know if you're lying. And selling us out is definitely going to get us nowhere. Remember, only we can do anything about this other world business. If we're caught, it's game over."
Lance nods and continues with his own plans. "Alright, now that we all know about that, I may have a plan on how we can rescue Zack." Lance looks over at Avel and he takes out what looks like a hand drawn map of the volcano. It's not necessarily accurate and he obviously doesn't know all that much about the different rooms, but it's a good visual aid. "So here's the plan. Instead of just busting in there, we take a more stealthy approach. We'll need to send in different groups to sneak past their defenses. The first issue is the alarm. Avel and I did a little snooping around when we first got there and we may have found where the main power source for the volcano is. We need to send a group in to take that out. Then, once the power is out, we only have a limited amount of time to get in, get Zack, and get out before they repair it. We'll need a fast team to sneak past the guards and do that. Finally, we need to steal the Fire Soul. Laura and Tom found out it's hidden in the throne room by listening in on some of the enemy's conversations. So in total, that's three groups for a stealth based plan. We'll have to be pretty careful. So, thoughts?"

Somnis tries to speak across the room to the group. "Hey, my mom's a detective. I think her current case is involved with the other world. She's investigating the murders and disappearances."
Mattea sighs. "We're supposed to be avoiding the people trying to arrest us and you're directly connected to them?"
"She's not trying to arrest us, she's trying to arrest the bad guys."
Tom speaks up. "This might not be such a bad thing. Somnis knows what the police are going to be up to with her mom and can check how their progress is."
"Well, I was going to say that someone has been manipulating the data in the police department. There's some deleted files about this case. I don't know who, but they must have a connection to the police to access their files."
Lisa is thinking. "Or they're a skilled hacker..."
"Huh?"
"Whoever is working with the enemies must be skilled with machines. I mean, just look at how complex the Soul Keys are. I wouldn't find it hard to believe that they'd be able to get into the police files."
Fox seems to be paying little attention to this and is still thinking about infiltrating the volcano. "Hey...I'm kinda like a fox ninja in the other world. I bet I'm good at stealth."
Somnis then responds to him. "Oh. Right! So I think Dogachu and Buttons should be on our Zack rescue team. And Lisa should be on the alarm team. I bet she could take out the power really easily with her skills."

The group meets back up in the other world at their small camp in Blaze Volcano.
Fox looks around. "Now's the time to prepare! Once we start this mission, we won't have time to stop."
Avel looks through his materials. "Putting together new equipment may not be a bad idea..."
Tom begins working on putting items together. "Creating some sort of blinding device would be helpful..."
Somnis considers what she should make for herself and Dogachu.
A. Weapons
B. Armor
C. Items
D. Dishes
(Reminder: you need 10 materials base for equipment, but items and dishes can be made with any number of materials.)

Somnis finishes at the forge and walks out wearing hellhound pelts with some bones used as decoration. Dogachu follows her, being transformed into a Hellhound with some light bone armor. Somnis runs over to Lisa, using her hands and feet to move around. "Lisa strong. Somnis like strong women."
Lisa laughs a bit and looks at Somnis. "I didn't expect you to wear something like that."
"This what strong women in tribe wear. Somnis strong. Somnis punch things."
"You're not actually going to go around punching things are you...? You need to hit them with your weapon."
"Okay, if Lisa say so. Somnis trust and respect Lisa." Dogachu nods and then sits with Somnis next to Lisa.

Lance stands and looks around at everyone. "Alright, it seems like we're ready. Everyone get into positions." The team nods and everyone splits up, heading to their stations.
Somnis leads her group over to wait by the volcano's entrance with Fox, Tom, and Raine.
A small holo cube made from Lisa allows you to communicate with the other teams.
Mattea's voice comes through. "We've only got one chance! Don't mess this up, alright?"
Avel responds. "Don't worry. We've got this."
Fox's voice then comes through. "I'm so excited! I'm all fired up! It feels like we're really thieves stealing something from a palace or something!"
Lisa's voice then comes in. "Alright, we've arrived at the main power source. It looks heavily guarded. We'll have to find away around those guards."
Avel then responds. "There might be another way in..."

While Somnis waits around, Lisa's voice comes in on the holo cube. "WE BROKE THE CRYSTAL! GO, GO! THEY KNOW WE'RE HERE, SO DON'T WASTE ANY TIME!"
She looks to the others and they all nod. Fox then leaps in first, running down the halls and jumping from one shadow to the next, having the others follow after him. "There sure are a lot of guards here. I'm glad we took out the power so they can't see us..."
Fox jumps up on top of a statue and kicks open what looks like some sort of air vent. Somnis looks up and questions him. "What are you doing...?"
"We're right underneath the throne room. We can crawl right in there this way. Follow me." He heads into the vent with the others following after.
As the group crawls through the vents they hear a conversation over the holo cube. It sounds like Julia is talking. "Laura! Do you need support?"
Laura responds. "Probably at this point! With one of us having to keep protecting Karl it's almost like there's only two people fighting!"
Tom seems concerned. "It sounds like Laura's in trouble..."
Raine shakes her head. "There's nothing we can do about it. We have to focus on our mission in here. We won't get another chance to steal the soul."
The group gets out of the vent and finds themselves in a room just outside of the throne room. Fox scratches his head a bit and seems embarrassed. "U-Uh...Oops. It lead just outside..."
"Did you hear something?"
"Yikes...! Behind that statue...!" Fox jumps behind a statue with the party following after him. A guard walks over and looks around a bit.
"Uhh...I don't see anything. You're getting paranoid..." The guard then walks away.
Fox whispers to Somnis. "We're going to need to find a way into that throne room. That's where the soul is."
A. Fight the guards and go in the front door
B. Look for another way (Diligence)
C. Pretend to be monsters (Expression)
D. Have someone distract the guards while everyone else runs in
E. Set up a trap to take out the guards (Knowledge)
