Somnis quickly looks around the area, thinking a moment. She then pauses and stares at the statue as if a lightbulb had gone off inside her head. "That's it..." She turns to her allies. "I have an idea. Fox, do you think you can get the guards to walk over here somehow? Tom, Raine, when I give you the signal, I'm gonna need you to push on the statue as hard as you can. Try to knock it over, okay?" The group agrees and Somnis steps back while Tom and Raine get into position. Fox runs out from behind the statue and calls out to the guards.
"HEY! LOOKING FOR ME? I'M GONNA GET THE SOULLLL! YOU BETTER CATCH ME!" He wags his tail around at them.
"It's the intruder! Get him!" The guards start to chase after Fox.
"AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" He runs from them, down the hall.
Somnis watches carefully until the enemies are just about in place. "Alright, NOW!"
Tom and Raine push the statue as hard as they can, moving it slowly. Somnis shakes her head.
They won't make it in time.
She runs over to them and jumps through the air, taking out her staff and smashing it into the top of the statue with a heavy bash. The statue then falls over and tumbles down onto the guards, smashing them. Fox turns and looks surprised. "Whoa...it worked..."
"Thank god, we found them." Tab speaks into the holo cube. "We've got eyes on Zack AND Alice. Pulling through with the rescue."
Raine smiles. "It sounds like our friends are safe."
Avel speaks into the holo cube. "We're surrounded!"
She then frowns. "...Or maybe not..."
Lisa comes through after. "This is bad. There's no way out of here."
Lance then speaks. "Support has arrived."
Buttons' voice then comes through the cube. "Sorry, Somnis. Looks like you're taking the soul without us. We have to help these idiots instead."
Somnis responds. "Don't worry, we've got this!"
Tom comes in after. "The guards are taken out. We're heading in for the soul." He then looks up at Somnis. "Let's get going. We've already wasted too much time out here." He shoots the lock off the door and kicks it open.
The party then runs inside, finding an empty room. Raine looks around. "Where's the soul...? It was supposed to be in here."
The sound of a piano being played then fills the room. Everyone quickly turns, to look behind them. A beautiful, red haired woman plays a golden and red piano with beautiful designs on it. She wears a golden crown on her head and nothing else. Somnis notices that while the top half is a gorgeous woman, the bottom half is actually a snake tail. She then stops about halfway through her song, leaving the room empty in silence for a moment.
"...So you came, human." She doesn't look toward the party, keeping her eyes on the sheet music on the piano. "You know, my parents died by the hands of humans when I was just a little girl. I've always held a deep hatred for them." She turns to look at Somnis in the eyes. Her's are bright red, as if flames themselves were contained within. "You came to save your friends, didn't you? I'm sure you've already succeeded. I was planning on giving them a public execution, but I think I much prefer this outcome." She leans backward, slightly, closer to Somnis' group. "Now I can kill all of you at once."

She quickly turns back to the piano, playing a different song as it changes form. The piano quickly spins around and two flaming eyes can be seen on the front of it. Two large arms come out of the piano, each holding a giant sword covered in flames. The guardian looks up from the piano, no longer reading her music sheets to play it. Her face is simply a cold stare directed toward Somnis. "I will have my revenge today."

Somnis splits into two copies before casting Light Barrier on both Fox and Raine. A protective barrier appears around them both while Tom pushes a button on his sunglasses and they light up, zooming in on the enemy and scanning it with one eye while the other displays information on it.
The Greater Piano is a fire element machine monster. It is resistant to fire, poison, machine, and electric element attacks. It is weak to water element attacks. It resists poison, burn, paralysis, and blind. It is weak to freeze status. It's attacks are Dual Blades, dealing moderate physical damage to two different targets, Cross Slash, dealing heavy physical damage to a single target, and Blade Guard, protecting Dracia while countering any attacks that turn.
Raine plants a small flower in the ground while Fox tosses a scale knife into the piano. Dracia sings a special song, raising both her offense and defense and the piano's offense and defense. The piano then uses Dual Blades, slashing at both Fox and Tom. Fox is protected by the barrier of light before it shatters while Tom is knocked backward by the attack and receives damage. Raine's flower then blooms and releases a beam of light at the piano, damaging it further.

Tom looks over to the guardian and pushes a button on his sunglasses, causing the same interface to appear on them. "Alright, I got some info on her. Her name's Dracia. She's definitely the Fire Guardian. Her parents were killed by humans during the war in the other world years ago. Ever since, she's held a terrible human revenge grudge. It looks like resolving this peacefully would be impossible."
Somnis looks sad. "..."
I don't really want to hurt her. Killing the Guardians seems wrong...
"She's resistant to plant element attacks and absorbs fire attacks. She's weak to water attacks only, so choose your strikes carefully. Her attacks seem focused on strengthening her piano with songs. If we could stop her from singing, this would be way easier. We could also find a way to quickly take down the piano before it gets too strong. She's vulnerable to the Silence status, but resists burn, freeze, poison, and paralysis. Her attacks include Flaming Claws, which deals physical fire damage to an enemy, Song of Charms, which she can use to control one of us and attack the others, Song of the Maiden, which she uses to raise both the offense and defense of all her allies, Song of Battle, which doubles damage for an ally's next attack, and Shriek, which will break any buffs or positive statuses we have. This is going to be a tough fight."
Somnis raises one hand in the air and calls down a light that surrounds the battlefield, weakening her opponents and lowering their offensive power. Raine then spins into the Greater Piano with sharp leaf blades flying around her, damaging it multiple times before Fox throws a couple scale knives into it. It looks like it took lessened damage thanks to the defensive buff, however.
The Greater Piano lifts both of its blades into the air, slamming one into Somnis and the other into Raine. Raine's barrier shatters, protecting her, but Somnis receives some damage.
Dracia smiles a bit and plays a new song. "Oh, human..." She looks over at Fox seductively. "Can you do something for me...?"
"Whoa...you're pretty. I'll do anything you ask!" Somnis notices his tail is wagging and little hearts are surrounding him. He must be under her control like Tom said.

Raine quickly casts a spell, summoning forth a rainstorm that blows through the enemies on the battlefield, dealing water damage to both Dracia and the Greater Piano. Tom then runs over to Fox and winds up before slapping him across the face. "Ow! Hey, why'd you do that!?" The hearts disappear around Fox and he rubs his face with his hand. "That hurt..."
"You were charmed. That was the only cure we had lying around. Now get ready to fight, Foxy. The enemy's coming."
Fox takes a defensive stance, holding his knives to parry incoming attacks. Somnis then splits into two copies of herself with each one creating a blade of light. The two then both attack their targets, dealing light damage to both Dracia and the Greater Piano while ignoring their defensive buffs.
Dracia seems annoyed. "It seems I underestimated you. But I won't make that mistake. I'll obliterate you with everything I have!" She changes songs, singing the Song of Battle. The Greater Piano has its attack charged and it raises both blades in the air before smashing them into Fox at the same time.
"Gah!" Fox is knocked back and is badly damaged, barely able to stand back up. "Don't worry about me...just take her down..."

Somnis hears something through the holo cube. "This is Avel. I'm retreating to the real world."
Mattea shouts into the holo cube. "Avel! Get back here!"
Buttons then sighs. "We are so dead..."

Tom fires healing bullets into Fox while Somnis creates a warm light that envelopes the party and heals everyone. Raine then raises one hand in the air as it absorbs solar light before bringing it down and slapping the Greater Piano with a small burst of light blasting out from her hand as she does so. The Greater Piano is surprised and stunned by the attack, unable to move this round! Fox then tosses a scale knife into the Greater Piano as well. "It's still not down? Come on..."
Dracia changes songs once more and raises the offense and defense of both her and her piano again. The Greater Piano regains its bearings and is ready to fight again.
Dracia glares at the party. "Healing? Fine then, let's see how you like it."

The Greater Piano raises its blades in the air, preparing for the others to strike first. Somnis then creates a light around the battlefield that damages all enemies and weakens them slightly, returning Dracia and the Greater Piano's offense to normal. The Greater Piano then counters her attack and hits Somnis with one of its blades, damaging her a bit. Raine then raises her hand in the air, absorbing solar energy inside of it before slapping Dracia across the face and emitting a bright flash. Dracia is stunned and doesn't move, but the Greater Piano drops one of its blades down, hitting Raine and knocking her back slightly. Fox then tosses another one of his knives at the Greater Piano followed by Tom shooting at it.
Dracia spends her turn recovering from the stun and the Greater Piano begins to smoke a bit. "No...No, this isn't how it's supposed to go! It's not fair! I can't lose like this. Not before I've avenged my parents..."
I might be able to speak to her now, but...I'll have to let my guard down to do that. Do I really think I can do this...?
"This is Lisa! Our mission is complete! Returning to base now."
Lisa...What would she do...? Somnis sighs. There's no time to question myself. I have to do what I think is right. No time for doubt.

Somnis lets her weapon down and steps forward. Her allies look over at her in confusion. "What are you doing? We can't let our guards down in the middle of a fight!" Tom keeps his gun pointed at Dracia.
Somnis ignores him and speaks to Dracia. "Dracia! Listen to me! I understand the pain you're feeling! The humans that came to this place did some terrible things. But revenge won't bring your parents back!"
Dracia looks stunned in surprise. "You...What do you know about anything? You weren't there! You didn't see any of what the humans did!"
A. "You're right, I wasn't there. But..."
B. "I have a friend who was affected by this too..."
C. "That's right. So why should I be punished?"
D. "I was there. I saw it in a vision. I've felt your pain..."
E. "Not all humans are evil! You have to believe me!"

"You're right. I wasn't there, but I have a friend that was affected by this too. His wife died because of the humans. It was terrible."
"I already know what the humans did! That's why I have to...do...do something."
"I don't think you're acting like yourself. I heard that Dracia was a beautiful and kind woman, not a terrible creature that only acts on revenge. Listen, I know you're hurt right now, but if you do the same thing the humans did and kill us, you won't be any better than them. We all have families of our own. If you killed us it would make them all very sad..."
Dracia thinks for a moment, looking away before looking back at Somnis with a sad expression. "I...didn't think of it like that." She then turns away. "But...why should I give you the soul? I'm the Guardian of this place. The last humans that came here wanted the soul as well..."
They wanted the soul...!? I knew they did terrible things and wanted to take over this world or something, but taking the souls? What could they even need those for?
They don't even do anything...
"I won't force you to give it to us. But it would be very helpful if you did. You see, this world is in danger. We need the souls to protect it. And only Fox can do that. So you'll let him do that, won't you? Our world is in danger too. That's why we need to gather all the souls."
Dracia speaks without looking still. "...So he was right in his prediction. I didn't think it was possible." Somnis notices Dracia move one hand across her face, wiping away what are probably tears of fire. "...Just take the soul and go. I need some time to be alone and think..."
Somnis is quiet and looks over at Dracia. Dracia reaches behind her and pushes a button on the Greater Piano, causing a section of the floor to open up as the Lava Soul rises up out of it. Fox walks over to the Lava Soul and places one hand on it. The soul glows and then flows into him. Somnis takes the holo cube and speaks into it. "Mission complete. We have the Lava Soul and Dracia is unharmed."

Before the group can celebrate, a voice comes in through the holo cube. "This is Zack. The volcano is set to explode in only a few minutes! GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!"

Somnis looks back at Dracia. She isn't moving...
A. "We have to help save Dracia too."
B. "What about all the people still in here?"
C. "What about our teammates?"
D. "Alright, let's go."

Tom lets out an annoyed sigh and places one hand to his head. "Really? Now's not the time to be a hero."
"She knows the best way out of here. Trust me." Somnis looks at Tom and he sighs.
"Alright, but make it quick. We don't have much time."
Somnis runs over to Dracia. "Look, you're right. Some humans suck, but now isn't the time for talking. We're both in the same situation. This place is about to explode and we need to get out of here. You're the one that knows this place the best. And you can't leave your people to die here like this. We need to take action and get out of here NOW."
Dracia looks up and seems slightly conflicted before nodding. "You're right. We need to get going." She presses a button on the Greater Piano and an alarm starts going off in the area.
"EMERGENCY EVACUATION HAS BEEN ORDERED. ALL PERSONNEL ARE TO EVACUATE THE BUILDING IMMEDIATELY."
She then looks back at Somnis and her friends. "Come with me. This is the fastest way out of here." She walks over to a beautiful portrait of herself and her family, moving it aside to reveal a secret passage. "Everybody move."
Somnis feels like she's seen that painting before. Yes...she has! In one of her visions. This is how Dracia escaped the humans all those years ago. As the others run through, Somnis looks at Dracia, slightly worried.
"Don't worry about the painting. What matters now is staying alive." Somnis nods and the party begins to make their way through the passage.
As the party runs through the hall, explosions can be heard throughout the building and it begins to cave in. Raine lets out a squeal. "W-We're not gonna make itttt!"
Fox runs behind her and dodges some falling debris. "JUST KEEP RUNNING, WE'LL GET OUT OF HERE!"
Tom jumps over a fallen statue. "I knew we shouldn't have gone this deep in the palace..."
Somnis then points forward. "There! A light! We're almost out of here! Let's go!" As they continue to run, the entire ceiling begins to fall in on them, however, the Greater Piano quickly pushes everyone out into the light as the tunnel collapses in on it.

As the group runs outside, they notice the palace crumbled in the distance. It looks like they took an underground passage that lead outside not far from the entrance. The others should be waiting there. As the party comes across the others, Somnis notices a lot of them look really sad. Actually, Lisa herself is...crying.
"Huh? Lisa, why are you crying?" The group turns and sees Somnis standing there.
Lisa gets to her feet. "Somnis...? Somnis!? SOMNIS!" She leaps into Somnis, giving her a hug. "I thought you were dead...!"
"Me, dead? Ha, no way! I can't leave you like that. I promised to stick around with you. We were going to take life on together, remember?"
Buttons walks over to Somnis and throws a plush at her. "You...You idiot...! I was worried about you..." Buttons has tears coming from his eyes. "Don't do that again!"
Mattea looks over at the others. "Why didn't you guys answer the holo cube?"
Fox looks around. "Oh. Heheh...whoops. Looks like I lost it."
"Typical Fox move. When are you gonna learn, kid?" Zack laughs a bit, but then falls down on one knee, seemingly in pain.
Raine runs over to him and makes sure he's alright. "He's still pretty badly hurt from before..."
Lance looks around at everyone. "Let's return home for now. I'm sure we could all use plenty of rest. Let's all meet up again tomorrow and talk. It seems like a lot has happened." There's a general nod of agreement among the party.
Somnis looks over to Dracia in concern. "Are you going to be alright? Your entire home is...I'm sorry there wasn't anything I could do for it."
Dracia shakes her head. "There was nothing you could do. But I'm glad you were able to snap me out of it in time to escape. It seems everyone else made it out alright as well. I might not have a palace any longer, but I am still the queen of this place. I will work with my people to rebuild what we have lost."
"But...your painting...and the piano..."
"It's alright. It's true that they were all I had left of my parents, but...I believe this is a strange way of moving forward for me. It's time I help the world change. I want a world where humans and monsters can finally get along without war. Nobody should have to suffer like I did..."
"...Alright. I wish you the best of luck with that then." The group begins to walk off when Dracia calls out to them.
"Remember that you are always welcome back here."

October 10th, Monday, Cloudy
Somnis lets out a big yawn and wakes up to like...a million group texts.
Alice: Hey, are you guys there?
Fox: Alice!? Is that you!?
Alice: Yeah, sorry I didn't talk to you guys. My family and I went on a vacation towards the end of the week. I was going to tell you, but I forgot my phone at home.
Zack: So that explains it...
Lance: Well, now that you're back it's all the more reason to meet up tonight. We can get you caught up on everything that's happened so far.
Avel: We should also discuss what to do about this new group.
Mattea: Yeah, what the heck was up with those guys? Why'd they try to blow us up in the volcano!?
Alice: Wow...it sounds like you did quite a bit while I was gone...
Zack: We also don't know what was up with that chick in the suit.
Laura: We definitely have a lot to talk about...
Buttons: We have school right now. Save it for later.
Tom: He's right. So where are we meeting up?
Lance: I don't mean to be a bother, but would you mind if we used your house again, Julia? It seems you've always got enough space to accommodate us and you're usually the most available of us.
Raine: Oh...we're meeting tonight?
Tom: Is...there a problem with that?
Raine: No, it's okay. I just have something I wanted to do. But um...I think I can work around it.
Lisa: Alright, so we're all meeting up at Julia's house tonight?
Avel: Yes. Hopefully everyone shows up. See you all then.
She then jumps out of bed and heads off to school.

Everyone gathers together at Julia's house, ready to talk about the other world. Sitting in their usual places, Alice and Zack fill in a few empty spots. Alice sits next to Fox with her legs crossed, writing things down on her clipboard while listening carefully on the conversation. Zack places both hands on the table and leans over it slightly, looking around at everyone. Since Alice is in her old seat, Raine instead stands behind Tab's chair, keeping her hands placed on the back of it as she watches everyone. While you all speak for a bit, Karl eventually walks in, carrying what looks like a board with a bunch of information all over it. Various writings and photos are placed on the board with little arrows drawn to show connections between them all. Some kind of...evidence board?
Lance looks over at him from his position at the head of the table. "Um...you brought something with you Karl?"
Mattea sighs and tilts her head slightly. "It looks like I wasn't the only one gathering information. So what did you find?"
"Wait what Karl was actually gathering actual evidence. Wow now I seen everything. Well one thing we defiantly discovered was the existence of a second group of people. Unlike us they aren't as respectful to the residents of the other world and are willing to use any means necessary. As evident by there willingness to blow up the Fire Guardians palace with everyone in it. Second and this is what's really scary. They seem to know who we are. They were able to lure us into a trap by pretending to be Alice. Then while we were fighting fake Alice she transformed into varouis other members of our group like she knew who exactly to transform into. We did catch a name before she disappered and we got the name Mimi. These people somehow know who we are and we don't know anything about them. How about everyone else did you guys encounter anything on your end?"
Tab nearly forgets about the meeting as everyone chatters, staring contently at the bouquet once more, before noticing the large board Karl brought in and eyeing it down, securely placing the bouquet below his chair. "...This better not be misleading or pointless conjecture you're presenting, Karl."
"Now, I believe that there is a member of another group in our midst. And that person is Alice."
Karl brings out a pop-tart and points to a picture of a text message.
"Look at evidence piece one, a conversation taken between me and Alice after school ended. In this conversation, she disclosed that she had left her phone in her room."
Karl then follows a red arrow to a police report.
"This report is what happened when I broke into Alice's house. I stole several pieces of technology, and most importantly looked thoroughly through her room. I did not find a cell phone or phone of any kind whatsoever."
Karl then points to another piece of paper, a list.
"So, since Alice said that she left her phone in her room, yet I searched through her room thoroughly, that means that she is lying about where she left her phone. As soon as I came to this conclusion, I had several other questions that came to mind. What kind of teenage girl just leaves her phone? Why didn't she use her parent's phone to text us, especially since she knows we were on the edge with kidnappings and such? Also, her parents never were there for her. Why would they suddenly take her on a vacation? And, this other group, wouldn't it make sense for them to make a spy to predict what happens to us, therefore gaining the advantage by knowing our plans after a session of deep discussion? So, I hypothesize that Alice is a spy..."
Karl flips the table with the graphs and papers over, to reveal a picture of a ferret.
"FOR THE FERRET MAFIA! SHE'S JUST 3 FERRETS STACKED ON TOP OF EACHOTHER, AND THEY ARE TRYING TO GET THE RECIPE FOR POP-TARTS RIGHT UNDER OUR HANDS! WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY, ALICE, OR SHOULD I SAY FERALICE!"
Karl brings out his nun-chucks and prepares in a battle position.
A. "What? Stop making crazy accusations!"
B. "Really? How can we believe any of this when you're literally insane?"
C. "That's a lot of jumps from one text message..."
D. "I'm not sure we can decide who it is yet..."
E. "I was suspecting Alice as well..."
F. "It all makes sense now...she's the murderer!"
G. "It all makes sense now...she's a ferret!" *clubs Alice with stick*
H. "Careful. Making accusations like that could get you punched in the face."

Yeah, I've been suspecting Alice for a while too. I don't think she's specifically a murderer or a ferret, but there's something she hasn't been telling us that she knows."
Tab checks his phone and sighs, then double sighs at Karl's act. "SOME points are valid. Alice, you don't seem the type of person to carelessly forget their phone at home, especially in a time of an odd crisis like this."
Tab slowly points his finger at Alice. "What are you hiding? Keep in mind, answers like 'I forgot' won't fly anymore."
"Great. We're back at trying to find a traitor amongst us. Can we stop this now? We now there multiple dopplegangers, but we also know that we saved the real Zack now. Zack is a close friend to Alice, I'm sure he would have noticed something wrong if she wasn't the real Alice. I think what we need to talk about is how we left a team behind during the explosion. They came back alive anyway, but we need better coordination and communication next time."
"Well umm Julia chan Karl is right about some things. Like why would Alice lie about not having her phone. Alice chan you still don't trust after everything. You still have to hide from us. Why onnee chan I thought we were friends?"
Tab continues pointing at Alice, staring straight at her. "I'm just trying to find the truth. There's very clearly something going on surrounding Alice. I'm not saying she's a traitor. I'm just curious for an answer."
Alice shakes her head. "I don't have anything to hide from you. I just went away on a trip for a few days. What happened that made you all distrust me so much...? Things weren't like this when I left..." Alice gives the party a sympathetic and sad look.
Zack then speaks. "She's right. You guys are acting weird. It wasn't like this before."
Fox stands up and stands by Alice. "You guys are being real jerks! Alice is one of my closest friends! She'd never do something like that!"
Raine seems kind of sad. "I don't like this...accusing each other like this..."
Mattea shakes her head. "No, they've got valid points. Alice needs to answer to this. Something is definitely up with her."
Lisa looks around at everyone. "Can we just...please calm down for a bit? Let's not point any fingers just yet. Give Alice a chance to speak."
Tom picks his feet up off the table and sits up straight. You can tell he means business now. He takes off his sunglasses, a rare sight, and looks over at Alice. "You're going to be answering some questions, got it? Don't worry, we'll keep this private." He then looks over to Julia. The party can notice that Tom has what looks like a small scar close to his left eye, normally hidden behind the sunglasses. "Julia. I'm counting on you to be fair. The two of us are going to take Alice to a private room and speak with her. Do you have anywhere we can talk without the others around?"
Fox starts to speak. "Hey, that's not-"
"Quiet, Fox. All I want to know is the truth. That's what we're going to get out of her." He then looks over to Julia. "Well...?"
A. "My mom's a detective. Can I help talk to her? I promise to be good."
B. "Let me interrogate her too!"
C. "Let's drop this whole thing, okay?"
D. "We're getting off topic! We SHOULD be discussing our next move!"
E. *sniff* *sniff* "Yeah, she smells like a ferret traitor to me."
F. "Maybe I should ask the man in my dreams about this...?"

Julia brings the group over to her room and sits down with them around. Tom then looks around. "Alright. It looks like we're ready. You two handle this. I'll just be watching for the most part."
A. "Alright, TELL US WHAT YOU KNOW!"
B. "So, should I attack first or...?"
C. "Alice, where did your family go on vacation?"
D. "Alice, what exactly are you hiding from us?"
E. "Do you know anything about the group we saw?"
F. "What's your connection with Mimi?"
G. "Why are you so close to Zack?"
H. "How did you and Zack meet?"
I. "Why are both you and Zack so close to Fox?"
J. "So...are you the murderer?"
K. "We already know everything. Give it up, traitor."
L. "Alright, that's all we needed to know. She's not guilty."
M. "I don't know what to do, but we don't have enough information yet..."
