"I don't know. I told him I just left it in my room as a general statement. That's where I tend to leave things. But maybe it was somewhere else. It was such a small detail I don't really remember where I left it or found it. I never thought about it that much. Maybe it was in the kitchen or the living room. I was a little busy at the time. My mind wasn't on my phone. He was probably right. I could have used my parents' phones, but I just didn't think about it. I figured you guys would all be okay."
A. "Alright, TELL US WHAT YOU KNOW!"
B. "So, should I attack first or...?"
C. "Alice, where did your family go on vacation?"
D. "Alice, what exactly are you hiding from us?"
E. "Do you know anything about the group we saw?"
F. "What's your connection with Mimi?"
G. "Why are you so close to Zack?"

I. "Why are both you and Zack so close to Fox?"
J. "So...are you the murderer?"
K. "We already know everything. Give it up, traitor."
L. "Alright, that's all we needed to know. She's not guilty."
M. "I don't know what to do, but we don't have enough information yet..."

Julia glances at Tom for a second, as if the phone suddenly became relevant to her. "Okay...This sounds reasonable..."
As Julia pauses for a moment, Somnis cuts in. "Do you know anything about the group we saw?" She has a serious look on her face.
"Hm? What group?"
"We saw a group in the other world. They planted bombs around the volcano and someone attacked us with a special suit on. They were clearly against us and tried so far as to kill us."
Alice looks at Somnis for a moment before shaking her head. "No, I don't know anything about them. I didn't even know anyone else was in the other world with you. I thought it was just us."
With that question out of the way, Julia finishes what she was saying. "You left on a vacation without your phone? Do you have it right now?"
Alice nods. "Yes, I do. I wouldn't be able to text you guys without it. I'd let you look at it, but...my phone is kind of private."
A. "Show it to us."
B. "Can you please show it to us?"
C. "It would be pretty suspicious if you didn't let us look..."
D. "You don't have to show us if you don't want to."
E. "Will you let us look at specific conversations then? If it's too personal, you can tell us not to look."

"You answered only half of the question. You really left on vacation without your phone? Don't worry, I only have two questions left after this."
"Yes, I did. I didn't have my phone with me."
Somnis then cuts in. "You don't have to show us if you don't want to. Try and relax a bit. We're your friends, remember?"
Alice seems to be slightly calmer with that response. "Alright, what else did you want to ask?"
A. "Alright, TELL US WHAT YOU KNOW!"
B. "So, should I attack first or...?"
C. "Alice, where did your family go on vacation?"

"I'll get both out of the way. First, not that I believe you're a doppleganger right now, but the others seem to have delegated me with the job to make sure you're not. Any concrete proof you weren't in the other world last night?"
Alice shakes her head. "No, sorry. The best I can do is tell you to ask my parents. I was with them, I promise."
"Second, I'm not gonna ask you to show us your phone. That's personal. I'm gonna ask you to show it to Zack. Your close friend. Not show him your conversations, just the time stamps so we know you didn't text anyone during your vacation, which would mean that you are indeed hiding something. Are you fine with that?"
Alice looks over at Zack for a moment and he looks back at her. There's a short pause before she nods. "Okay. I trust him." She stands and walks over to him, handing him the phone before exchanging a look with him as if trying to say something without words. Perhaps if your Understanding were higher, you could tell what was happening...
Zack looks at the times on the texts before handing it back to Alice. "Yeah, these times all make sense with the story she told us."
Alice places her phone away before Somnis speaks. "So, tell us about your vacation. Where did you go? What did you do?" She has a serious tone.
"It wasn't very interesting. I was just visiting my grandfather. He lives in the west."
Zack remembers something. "That's right. I forgot about him. You visit every year, don't you?"
Alice nods.
A. "Alright, TELL US WHAT YOU KNOW!"
B. "So, should I attack first or...?"
C. "Alice, what exactly are you hiding from us?"
D. "What's your connection with Mimi?"
E. "Why are you so close to Zack?"
F. "How did you and Zack meet?"
G. "Why are both you and Zack so close to Fox?"

"Alright, that's fine by me. I don't see any reasons to think you're Mimi or whatever she's called. Don't get me wrong though, I feel like you're hiding something, but everyone can have their secrets. Whatever it is, I or anyone else don't have the right to force you to reveal your personal life. Now Tom, are you okay with this?" Tom nods.
Somnis then sits forward. "So how did you meet Zack? I'm not questioning you or anything, I'm just kinda curious because you seem really close and all."
Alice tilts her head slightly. "That's an odd question." Hm...? Was there something there? "We met at school like I'm sure you met most of your friends. We've just known each other for so long, we kind of got close."
"And you two know Fox and you're close to him, right?"
"Yes. We both found Fox getting bullied one day and helped him out. We became friends after that."
"Hmm...Okay. Well, you're not guilty of anything, so I think that's all for now. Let's head back and tell the others."
Everyone regroups and talks about what happened. Julia and Somnis tell the team that Alice was definitely not Mimi and she wasn't in the other world while she was on vacation. The phone and her parents confirming this are fairly solid evidence. The group then tells those that weren't present about the plans to get together and have a little dress up party on Halloween. It should be a fun time. For now, everyone should relax and focus on living a normal life and laying low. It might be a good chance to strengthen your relationships or gather information. The musical is also going to be soon. That might be important for those that are in it.
Anyway, the group heads home afterwards, feeling tired after spending all that time together.

October 11th, Tuesday, Sunny
Morning again! Somnis wakes up and gives Dogachu some quick pats before getting dressed and heading out the door, shouting good morning to her mom. "Good morning, Som-" SLAM! Somnis ran out the door before her mother could really finish. "...Hm. Maybe I shouldn't be leaving you alone this much..." Somnis' mom looks down for a bit before shaking her head slightly and picking up all her belongings she'd need for work that day. "Well, I guess I'll talk to her tonight."
Afternoon
Once Somnis finishes up with her classes, she remembers that she's in the musical and should probably show up to rehearsal. But she could always skip and do something else...

Somnis heads off to rehearsal and practices her part, making sure to work on line memorization and voice intonation.

Once musical rehearsal is over, Somnis heads home.
Night
Somnis returns home and is greeted by Dogachu. "Bark!"
She snuggles him for a bit before checking her phone for messages. Oh, there's one from Katie. Haven't really spent time with her in a while. "SOMNIS! I saw you hanging out with fox boy! You must help me speak with him! >:3"
A. "Fox boy...?"
B. "Oh, do you like him?"
C. "His name is Fox."
D. "Okay. I'll introduce you sometime."
E. "Let's hang out right now and plot."
F. "Sure. But come meet my cute dog right now!"
G. "No, you're kind of weird."
H. "You should speak with me instead~ <3"

Somnis texts back. "Sure, let's hang out and plot! You can meet my cute dog!"
Katie then responds. "Cute doggie!? :D Be there right away!"
Somnis then texts her address and waits around a bit with Dogachu for Katie to show up.
Eventually, she does and shows up at the door, waving to Somnis. "Hi!" She then picks up Dogachu and snuggles him, calling him a floofy snuggleflops.
"Soooooo...You wanted to talk about Fox?" Somnis sits next to Katie and nudges her.
"Oh! Yeah! So I was talking to this other girl and she told me that this guy was secretly a dog in disguise, but I thought that was kind of crazy, so I tried to ignore it, but when I met him he was playing with a ball and then everytime I watch him he just seems MORE like a dog! You know what this means, right? We need to find out if fox boy actually is a doggie!"
A. "Actually, he's a fox."
B. "Actually, he's a kitsune."
C. "We should investigate him carefully..."
D. "We should stalk him."
E. "Um...he's just a person."
F. "Quick, ask him out! That will help you find out somehow. Trust me."

"Wait, we need to make them first."
"We're MAKING them!?"
"Of course. You have to put some heart in them or he won't da-er...he won't reveal his identity. It has to be worth it, you know."
"Oh, right. Let's do that then. You're going to help me make them?"
"Sure! But later. I don't have anything to make cookies with right now."
"Hmm...Okay. But don't forget about this! I'm counting on you, Somnis. We'll get to the bottom of this mystery."

"Alright, I'm gonna head home for now, but I'll be back so we can make those cookies! We must find the truth!" Katie runs off.
Somnis sits down for a minute. "Phew. Alright, I'm pretty tired. Let's get some rest, Dogachu." Before she can stand up, the door then opens. "Oh, hey mom. Welcome home."
"...Somnis."
"Huh? Is something wrong, mom?"
"...I'm sorry I've been leaving you home like this, but...you aren't getting involved in anything are you?"
Wait...what!?
"I was called by the police. Just...tell me what this is about. Please. Is it drugs? Weapons?"
Is this about the other world? I know the police knew about it, but how did they know to ask about me specifically? Is this...sabotage?
"Somnis...please answer me."
A. "It's drugs."
B. "It's weapons."
C. "It's nothing."
D. "I was framed!"
E. "It's not my fault..."
F. "It's your case. I wanted to help."
G. "Who gave this report to the police?"
H. "I'm sorry. But I won't tell you."

She sighs. "Well I guess that explains why they thought you were connected to the kidnappers. You understand this is dangerous, don't you? What if you get kidnapped too? You shouldn't be doing something that's the police's business. It's not safe."
"...I know, but you always work so hard, I just...wanted to help."
"I understand that, but it's not that simple..." She takes a minute to breathe in a bit before responding. "I was told that you have connections to a suspicious boy. He's suspected to be a part of the black market. Selling guns and drugs illegally. Is this true?"
A. "No, it's not."
B. "Yes, it is."
C. "Wait...are you talking about Zack?"
D. "I don't know anything about that stuff."
E. "Does this have something to do with Karl?"
F. "Maybe. If it is, I didn't know about it."

Somnis' mom has a critical hit animation. "...! I don't want you hanging around that boy. He's bad news, Somnis. I...can't tell you anything, but stay away from him."
"Wait, what's wrong with Karl?"
"Just trust me. You do not want to be involved with him."
"But..."
"And I'm not letting you go out of the house at midnight anymore. Yes, I've noticed. I can't let you get into suspicious activities, Somnis." She seems kind of stressed.
A. "I only leave because I want to see my friends."
B. "No! You can't stop me from leaving!"
C. "I don't care."
D. "I can do whatever I want."
E. "Well maybe I wouldn't HAVE to leave if you were actually HOME sometimes!"
F. "Please don't do this..."
G. "I swear it wasn't me! Who told you I'm doing this?"

Wait, a girl...? The only ones that know my mom is a detective is...Julia and Alice. It couldn't be one of them, could it?
A. "Mom, I know you don't want me getting mixed up in this, but please. You have to believe me..."
B. "...Okay. I'm going to my room..."
C. "Why are you treating me like some kid!? I can take care of myself!"

WHAT!? WHO THE HELL WOULD DO THAT!?

B. "Alright, I won't go out at midnight anymore. Sorry I worried you, mom..."
C. "Grr...I'm gonna kill her..."
D. "You can't DO THIS! Ugh, I HATE YOU!"
E. "Okay, this is going to sound ridiculous, but I need to go out at midnight so that I can help you investigate."
F. "But I haven't been doing anything bad. I've...Well, I've been sneaking out to see my girlfriend."

Somnis' mom looks a little surprised, but then gives Somnis a hug. "Oh, Somnis...I could never be disappointed in you. You're my child and I love you very dearly. I just don't want you going out late at night because I care about you very much. I want you to be safe. Somnis...I just worry about you so much. I'm scared that you're getting into something that's going to get you hurt. I know I haven't been around a lot and I'm scared that you're starting to hate me for it and that's the last thing I want." Somnis' mom begins to cry. "I spend every day working from morning to night, trying to keep food on the table and a roof over your head, but...I'm a terrible mother. I'm so sorry, Somnis...I'm so sorry..."
A. "Mom...don't apologize..."
B. "No, don't say that! You're doing your best..."
C. "I...I didn't know..."
D. "It's not your fault dad isn't around anymore."
E. "I love you, mom..."
F. "Don't touch me! Why are you sitting there and bragging about all you do when I'm left here all alone like this!?"
G. "I...I'm sorry. I've been lying to you. I..."
