The Dating Sim

An unknown humanoid stands on a rock pillar among a sea of large clouds. His black and white armor reflects the light of the sun and a face cannot be seen in the darkness of the armor's helmet. The humanoid's large wings are folded neatly behind its back. One black and one white, but both feathered. As the humanoid's eyes open underneath the armor, it's revealed that they are glowing and red. They look across the cloudy plateau at the many dead creatures there. Many cloud wyverns slain, laying on the ground in a pool of dragon blood. "Is this the destruction that humans truly bring...?"

He walks among the bodies, looking around. The carnage goes for miles. "They hunted every last one they could find. But why? Did they truly need the scales so much? When the humans came, all they wanted was blood." He reaches for an ancient sword on his back. The engraved symbols on it glow with an ominous red. "If that is what they want, that is what I will give them. Blood." As his eyes flash, he's suddenly stopped before he can fly off. The sound of a crying dragon echoes in from the distance. "Hm...?"

He walks over to it. Among the dead wyverns, a crying hatchling sits. "...You will need someone to care for you, won't you?" He kneels down and picks up the baby. "...Do not worry. I am here. I will raise you to become strong and healthy. I promise never to make the mistake of trusting humans again. From now on, we slay first and ask questions later."

The dream starts to fade. "I, Chaos, Guardian of the Sky Soul, vow to protect this land from humans...For all those that live here...So that we will never suffer the same fate again..."

I should really get ready for that test...

Somnis goes to the library and continues to study up a bit. She sees the Studious Student and Ninja Girl studying together. It looks like the Studious Student is teaching her. Somnis continues to study and feels like she's finally starting to understand.

Somnis finished up and heads home for the day. Once she gets back, she notices her mom is home from work. "Welcome home!"

"Bark!" Dogachu greets her at the door excitedly.

Somnis picks up her dog and snuggles him before sitting down and checking her phone. Raine sent a message asking if Somnis had seen Fox anywhere. "No, but isn't he just sick at home?"

"Maybe. I was just supposed to see him tonight. I thought he would tell me if he was sick. Thanks anyway, Somnis. I'll go check on him myself." Somnis puts her phone away and contemplates what to do next.

The dream fades into view and Somnis can see many ships out on the ocean. She's standing on a tropical beach. There are walking palm trees here. A couple of otters run past her, chasing each other. They're playing together. It feels generally peaceful here. The night sky is full of sparkling stars. Somnis notices a couple of human-like creatures standing over by the water. They look to be a couple, holding hands. Both look like pirates, actually. The man speaks. "Nothin' quite like this, eh? Just you, me, an' the ocean." Somnis felt awkward listening in on their conversation after that comment.

"Yes, it's nice out here. Speaking of which, why did you bring me here exactly?"

"Right. Sorry 'bout that." He whistles and it echoes throughout the area. "Fire it up, boys." Somnis looks out to the ocean and sees pirates standing on them motion to the other pirates. Fireworks are launched up into the sky, bursting into a variety of colors. The light reflects on the water's surface. "Here goes...Sara...Will ye marry me?"

The female pirate looks surprised for a moment before shouting the word YES to the heavens. "YES! Galleon! This is the best day of my LIFE!" She full on tackles him to the ground and gives him a huge kiss combined with a big hug. Somnis wonders to herself why she is having a dream about two pirates getting married before it begins to fade out. The sound of fireworks continue to pop in the distance. "I love you so much."

"I love ye too."

Morning

Tuesday September 20th, Rainy



Somnis gets up in the morning as usual, getting ready for school. "Why did I have a dream about pirate marriage...?" She decides to just move on and heads off to school with her umbrella up. The day proceeds normally. Fox is still absent from school. Hmm. That ninja girl brought her ferrets to school. Do they just not care at this point? Once class is over, Somnis gets her stuff together. She overhears something about Fox. Two students are talking about him. One really tall guy wearing a big coat and a baseball cap and that girl that's always in the library. They said something about him disappearing and...running away? Apparently he had a problem with being bullied. Strange...

Somnis snaps back to reality as a student crashes into her and she drops all of her stuff. "Whoa! I'm really really sorry! Are you okay!?"

Freya: Sports Fanatic
The girl is taller than Somnis. She's got blond hair and green eyes and looks similar to Raine. She's wearing a pretty simple outfit. Jeans, a short sleeved shirt, and sneakers. Her shirt's got an interesting swirl design to it and she wears a jacket over it. The zipper has a little butterfly dangling from it. She's got a butterfly necklace on too. "I'm so sorry! I was late for something and-OH, I should help you pick these up. I'm so sorry."

"It's no problem, really. My name's Somnis. Nice to meet you." Somnis holds out her hand.

"I'm Freya." The two shake hands. "I'm the captain of the soccer team. And the basketball team. And, well, pretty much every team."

"How...is that even possible?"

"Let's just say I'm really good at running. Hahaha!"

"I'll say. You hit me pretty hard...ouch."

"I'm really sorry about that. I gotta stop bumping into people like this. Are you gonna be okay?"

"Yeah, I think I'm fine."

"Good. I'm really sorry I bumped into you. I just needed to find my little sister and run her over to the hospital. You see, we visit our sick mother in the hospital very often. At least one of us every day. She wanted to go this afternoon instead of tonight since she had something important planned."

"Oh, you're sister goes to school here too?"

"Yeah, Raine. Do you know her?"

"Of course I do! We're friends! I didn't know she had a sister though."

"Huh, weird. I don't remember her talking about you before. I guess I just forgot. Well, nice meeting you, Somnis. I gotta run! Raine's waiting for me!"

"See ya!" Somnis waves as Freya dashes down the hall. She can run pretty fast. "What was I doing again...?"

I guess I should go. This could be pretty fun!

She texts back. "Okay, see you at the river!"

"Come on, Dogachu! Let's head out!"

"Bark!" Dogachu wags his tail and follows after.

Midnight



Somnis meets up with Lisa at the river. Dogachu follows behind her. "We're here! So...why did it matter where we went?"

"Both of these lead to two different places. Two different portals." As she says this, a blue, swirling portal appears.

"Cool!"

"So, are you ready to head in?"

"Definitely! Let's go!" The three jump into the portal together and end up in another world...

Coconut Island



The three land safely on the other side of the portal. Looking around, they can see they're on a beach. It's pretty quiet here. Waves crash against the shore and its pretty sunny here. There are a lot of trees growing coconuts here. Lisa looks around and then nods her head. "Here looks safe enough." She opens up her holo storage and places down a few objects with her telekinetic power. It looks like its all supplies for crafting objects. Cooking stuff, chemistry set, a forge, and so on.

"What's all this stuff?"

"You can make new equipment and items with it. I'll show you. First things first though, we gotta hunt down some materials. So where to first?"

"Hmm..."

A.) "Maybe we could try fishing."
B.) "Let's chop down some trees."
C.) "I think I saw some crabs scuttling around."
D.) "Let's gather up some seashells."
E.) "Do you think just using sand works...?"
F.) "Is that a wrecked ship over there...? Let's check it out."

Somnis creates a sudden and bright flash, damaging all of the pirates and blinding two of them. Dogachu jumps at the one that isn't blinded and bites at it, chewing on the bones. Once the pirate manages to shake off Dogachu and get to his feet, Lisa punches him out from behind and the skeleton crumbles to a pile of bones on the ground. The two pirates left prepare to attack with the first one charging carelessly into battle, swinging his weapon at Somnis. He misses by quite a bit, crashing into a sand hill. The other pirate tries to shoot at Dogachu with his gun, but misses as well. The one that charged in recklessly is now open to attack!

"Somnis, wait!" Somnis darts into the ship, but Lisa stays behind and looks at the ship from the outside. "That's weird. It looks like something humans would make..."

Dogachu barks at Lisa and runs off into the ship.

"Alright, I'm coming."

Shipwreck

The large ship looks like it wasn't destroyed by a simple crash, but probably from something hitting it. Like something attacked it. There are a few main holes in the ship, one of them being the one Somnis entered through. This place hasn't been kept up with for years. It looks like the wildlife has made homes here. Though, the starfish and Water Spirits appear to be docile for the most part. They don't seem like they'll attack unless provoked.

Somnis looks around. "Whoa. This ship looks old. It must have crashed a long time ago."

"I'd say that's probably true." Lisa looks around carefully. "Be careful. I get a bad feeling about this place. I don't know what it is, but just be careful."

Dogachu runs around sniffing everything. Somnis watches as Dogachu approaches one of the starfish. It suddenly jumps up and bops Dogachu on the nose before returning to laying on the ground. Somnis laughs a little and looks around herself.

Inspecting the area carefully, she manages to salvage a few interesting objects from the ship.

Somnis then picks up her things and counts them. "One, two, three...ten! That makes ten. Let's get back to the beach so we can make something."

Lisa gets up after inspecting a few broken crates. "Sounds good to me." The two start to leave and Dogachu follows close behind. Suddenly, as they start walking out, squawking is heard and territorial seagulls come flying in from the entrance to the boat.

Somnis gets to work on making her armor, using ten Torn Cloths and one Rainbow Shell. Finally, she finishes and looks proud of her work, trying it on.

White Thief Outfit

Effects: Slight Defense Boost, Slight Magic Defense Boost

The clothes have been cleaned up, but still retain a torn look to them. Although they're torn at the sleeves and pant legs, it somehow makes the look better and fit together well. The shirt's sleeves are torn and the center reveals part of Somnis' mid section. She wears a white vest-like jacket over it along with a white bandana over her mouth. Her hair is tied back with this outfit as well. Her pants are torn at the bottom and have a few tears in them along the legs. She somehow managed to make some white sandals as well. A rainbow shell piece is placed in her hair and another piece is pinned to the bandanna she wears where it is tied together.

She uses some extra pieces to create a version for Dogachu as well.

White Bandanna

Effect: Slight Defense Boost, Slight Magic Defense Boost

It's a cute, white bandanna that can be worn by Dogachu. It's less cute when you realize it's being worn by a gigantic shadow wolf, but still cute. The shell makes a little button that holds it together.
