It would require little-to-no knowledge of any mainstream content. It would be explained in-game. You would create your human character, and then receive your digimon partner. It would function as a Vitcon/CYOA game where you control your character and partner. Not sure exactly about plot yet, but it would involve interacting with other players/NPCs in either an Adventure-style, Save-The-World Plot or have quests.
Basically gauging interest. Digimon partners would be selected mostly to match your character and upon your request. I.e. "I want a dragon/I want a Cyborg".

I pretty much join every games which are not choice-based CYOAs, so count me in.
I played Cybersleuth, so Digimon is still fresh to me.

Funny, I tend to only participate in choice based CYOAs. When everyone just does what they want, that's not my kind of chaos. I prefer tighter storytelling, so if that's present despite individual player choice, I am a happy camper.
Agumon digivolves into Greymon. And MetalGreymon. And SkullGreymon And WarGreymon. And SuperWargreymon. And SuperMetalWarGreymon. And SuperSkullMetalWarGreymon and SuperSkullMetalMegaWarGreymon and SuperSkullMiraMetalMegaWarGreymon and...
To answer your question, I would love to be a Chosen Child.
Edit: Wait, no. You don't seem to have a story in mind. I don't want to just aimlessly adventure.

Well, I have two possibilities in mind, actually. Ine would be a Chosen Children-esque adventure. The other would be more based off Dawn/Dusk games and invilve players taking quests with certain ones being more story related and others being sidequests. There'd be story elements involved in some way so that there'd be a definitive conclusion. |

Question! What's the difference between a Pokemon and a Digimon? Funny, I tend to only participate in choice based CYOAs. Go join either of the two I'm running on CYOA-Verse. One doesn't actually exist. Then there's WD, which is dead. Also EOVsBB, also dead. And AoD, which is currently a torture/card games simulator. God, I can't wait for this chapter to be over already... Also the Trauma Team F CYOA is... that. You don't really need to know the source material so much as you need the rarest skill of them all: COMMON SENSE. Is that the one I like...? No, that's Garurumon. Ruuuuu~ |

A Pokemon is an organic creature like an animal. A digimon can be animal like but it is comprised of data, and are based off of human ideas. They are like a recombination of WishMagic+Data+Darwinism.

OK, so they also De-evolve. Do people only get 1 digimon, or do they get a team of 6, or do they fuse with the digimon, or...?

Altough in some games characters can have multiple partners, similar to a pokemon team. And yes, they can De-evolve. |

Unlike pokemon, digimon can have more than 3 stages, can revert to previous ones, and are not set into one evolutionary path. One digimon can have mutliple different evolutionary paths it can take. If you really want to look up more information, the Digimon Wiki is well-maintained for the most aprt or you can just ask me. |
