Awkward tries ignoring her but gets annoyed by creepy girl's actions, walking up to her. "...You all there? If you're going to head inside the cafe, go right ahead already... Nothing's even stopping you. Hesitant types like you need more guts."
Tab's demeanor saddens, addressing the trainer. "No, it's alright. Thank you for attempting to help me. I'll find another solution." Tab then, against his better judgment (and slight fear of Mareena), walks inside the hut. "......Hello. Do you mind if I could ask you some questions? Not as a fortune teller, but as... Raine. It's about the current situation we're in."

Raine looks at Tab. "O-Oh, that's... OK."
Mareena clears her throat.
"Um, I mean... I-it's gonna cost you?"
The creepy girl's hand snaps up and wraps around your throat. Her eyes flash red as she glares at you. "I have plenty of guts. But, as much as I want one of those treats, I don't particularly want to start a fight right now." She relaxes her grip on your neck and turns to stare at the rabbit-girl instead.
Katie starts growling at her.
The rabbit's ear's twitch. She gives you - the creepy girl, at least - a glance out of the corner of her eye. Then she slowly takes another bite of her brownie, making sure to really savor it. "Mmmm, so-o-o-o good."
You feel her grip tightening again.

Tab sighs. "Look, Raine, I can get you and your boss a... functional door. It'll even open and close. I just need some more time on that front. But I also need to talk with you. I believe this matter transcends the importance of... well, whatever you two are currently engaged in."
Awkward tries prying the girl's hands off his neck. "Ghrk! L-Look, if you want one of those snacks, I can go get one for you easily. Katie, go bring this girl a brownie."

Raine buries her face in her hands. "Please don't say it like that...! You make it sound like we're doing something weird... I just wanted to try it, no one else was supposed to see!"
"Why don't you charge him his silence? Have him promise to never tell anyone about this," Mareena suggests.
"Y-yes, of course! If you wish to speak with the Stellar Raine, you must agree to keep silent about... her existence..." Raine trails off.
"Of course the door is an entirely different matter..." Mareena adds quietly.
You find the creepy woman's kind of ridiculously strong, and you can't break her grip.
Katie obediently goes to fetch a brownie.
The woman looks after her. When she turns her head, you catch a glimpse of pointed ears hidden under her hair. Not human.
She lets go of you while Katie's gone. "I apologize. It seems I overreacted. I do not appreciate being called a coward, but I assume you misunderstood the situation and wished to spur me into action." She glares at the bunny-girl again. "...I'm trying to kill her best friend's sister, you see. And some rumors say the two of them are lovers, as well, but I don't know if that's accurate."
The bunny-girl, sitting all the way across the cafe, begins to turn red.
Katie secures a brownie and begins to bring it back. Good fetch.

Tab complies. "Of course. I never planned on sharing something like that in the first place... Now, my turn. Someone said you're able to use the portal. Is this true, and why?"
Awkward tries to recompose himself after the woman's death grip. "So upfront about it. Well, my ally's about to bring you one of those brownies you want. For this, maybe you could tell me who exactly you're targeting and why. Maybe I could even... help, if I'm interested..."

"Oh. Um. Y-yes, it's true... The others could probably... use them, it's just that they... sort of... get shocked when they get close. And the cat-thing, Nekoshi, says they'll die if they go through, s-so... Um, but it doesn't happen to me. I-I guess it's because I... um... came through a portal from another area, maybe?" Raine guesses.
"I'm after a woman named Lily, Princess of Carcina. She looks a lot like me, just a few years older. And, not that you can easily see it, she has a brand, just like this." She rolls up her sleeve to show a birthmark shaped like a pair of... they look like wings made of eyeballs or something. It's really creepy. "Hers is on her back, though. As for why... I don't want to kill her. But a group wants to capture her. To serve as a sacrifice to revive a demon." She narrows her eyes. "I'll kill her before that can happen."
Rabbit-girl glares at you. Hard. You'd probably be intimidated if you weren't closer to one with the pointed ears.
Katie hands her the brownie. "Why, thank you." She takes a bite out of it and freezes. "...Ah... Ah... A-amazing..."

"Well... if you're able to use the portal to escape, then why are you still staying here? It's an incredibly dangerous situation in this mall; if you don't get out while you can, you might get..." Tab starts to feel tense. "...Wouldn't it be safer to leave, Raine?"
Awkward scratches his head. "Oh, so how about killing the members of this cult instead? Either way, I like your attitude, so I might be able to assist. If you'll just let me Edit you for a second... well, I could improve any aspect of yourself that you'd like. It's a special ability of mine, and it could certainly help you in any upcoming battles or confrontations."

"It... would," Raine admits. "But it wouldn't be... fair? Or, no. Um. I guess it just... doesn't feel right? I mean, maybe I can...
Mareena clears her throat again.
"O-oh, right..." Raine looks down at the floor and squirms a bit. The lights turn down a bit - the missing door ruins the effect - and the crystal ball lights up. "What was I saying? Right, I want to try to... help here. If... If someone got hurt after I ran off, then..."
"Hmph. Have you ever tried to kill a cult? Of course I tried that first, but it's much harder than you think." The woman takes another bite of her brownie. Tears well up in her eyes. She finishes her bite. "And there's not really anything I particularly want to change about myself." She shoves the rest into her mouth at once. She starts crying as she chews.

"So you're really determined to help everyone else before yourself..." Tab starts speaking with an almost crushed spirit in his voice. "I-I guess there's no other way to convince you otherwise, then... Besides ending the killing game.
...Thank you for your help. That's all I needed to know. I'll get the door fixed soon..." Tab gets up, unconsciously leaving the hut almost in a sprint. "...It's wrong for me to not want to be alone. I'm not part of anything anymore..." For now, Tab checks the arcade.
Awkward grunts. "...Ugh. Fine, handle your own problems..." Now Awkward will investigate the cafe further for himself.

You proceed into the cafe. Katie follows along behind you. Mattea and Sachi seem to be... flirting with each other. Well, Mattea's flirting with Sachi. Sachi seems a bit oblivious.
The rabbit girl gives you a very dirty look as you come in.
The portal continues to exist.
Tab checks the arcade. Tia has managed to actual start a shoot-'em-up game for real. She's dying. Constantly. Fortunately it seems to have infinite free play.
The deer girl is cheering her on. Gently.

Tab calls out to the two girls. "Er... sorry, but are any of you proficient in fixing doors? I could use the help."

You find a way through the iron bars. Somehow. It's not super-hard. You hop through the portal with Katie close behind.

Tab heads back down to the cafe. He notices a portal barred by iron rods, though they've been bent out of the way.
Mattea and Sachi are freaking out. The bunny girl is slumped over on a bench between them, her face on the table. A half-eaten tray of weirdly discolored brownies is sitting between them.
